Bardesanes, Book of the Laws of Countries:
It is written in the Book of the Chaldeans, that when Mercury stands with Venus in the house of Mercury, this gives rise to sculptors, painters and money-changers, but that when they stand in the house of Venus they produce perfumers, dancers, singers and poets.
