Gilgameš Epic (SBV) 7.3.22-24:
(Enkidu cursing Šamhat:) ‘The crossroads shall be your sitting-place, the wasteland shall be your couch, the shadow of a wall shall be your standing-place.’

Archilochus 36, 37:
They lay down by the wall, in its shadow; for such is the enclosing barrier that runs round the court.
