Text
Gilgameš Epic (SBV) 11.120-123:
(Belet-ili:) ‘How was it that I spoke evil in the assembly of the gods, spoke for aggression to destry my people? I am the one who gave birth to them, they are my people, and (now) they fill the sea like fish.

Homer, Odyssey 20.201-203:
Father Zeus, there is no other god more baneful than you: you show no pity for men, after you yourself have begotten them, (nor scruple) to involve them in misery and grievous woes.
