Enūma Anu Enlil, AfO 17, 89:
(The great gods) designed the stars as their likenesses.

Enūma Eliš 5.1-2:
(Marduk) fashioned stations for the great gods, he set up the constellation-stars as their images.

Plato, Epinomis 983e-984a, 984a-b:
(The stars are) likeness of the gods, images fashioned by the gods themselves.
