The term lybˀ in Talmud means not only ‘heart’ but, like Akkadian libbu, can refer to the entire abdominal region of the body. The sickness called ṣrḥˀ dlybˀ corresponds exactly to Akkadian ṣirih libbi ‘inflammation’.
