Text
Babylonian Talmud, Gittin 69a: The Akkadian expression fine quality beer (šikaru ṭābu) is the usual designation of beer used in recipes and ritual offerings, and is the obvious source for the final clause in the medical recipe for blood in the mouth. The Aramaic expression šykrˀ ḥrypˀ dṭbt means accordingly strong beer which is of good quality.
