Mandaic Incantation Bowl: May there be health [to the ho]use, the dwelling, the mansion, the threshold, and the good refuge in which dwells Qayyoma the son of Meršabor. From the seven firmaments of brilliance and light I am come. I am Nbaṭ, the great, primeval offspring which Life has sent. And I am come to the seven masters of the House to turn back their mysteries, to overthrow their building, to destroy [their] phantoms, to bend their statures which were high, for they have been sent against the sons to destroy their houses, [
], to pierce their [eyes], to butcher their daughters, to make great damage in [their] houses.
I said to them: Why have you been sent against the sons of Adam? And they said to me: [To all that you have said, we shall listen
]. This mystery do not show to us. I said to them: If you sin against the sons of Adam, four angels will be sent against you [from the heights: Rahz]iel, Mahziel, Kabšiel, and Dušiel, the angels. The angels are come against you from the heights! They said: [
] your name, O Strange Being, and we will accept [
] because of the brilliance of the three Uthras who dwell on the Great Jordan, and we will not lie to you. And I said to them: If you deny this mystery [
] (then) you will quake against the great dwellings of Light and you will quake against the Sun and Moon, and you will quake against the Uthras who stand guard on the great crown of Brilliance, and you will be closed against the gate of the [no]rth [and the south, and] they will grasp you by your legs and will cast you into black, infernal depths. Life is victorious!
