Servius commentary on the Latin phrase centumgeminus Briareus.
Servius, Scholia on Aeneas 6.287: Who, as some record, waged war on the gods behalf against the Giants; but as others affirm, he fought against the gods, above all on the occasion when Jupiter and Saturn were contesting for the kingship of heaven. Hence they record that he was driven down by Jupiter to the underworld with a thunderbolt.
Servius, Scholia on Aeneas 10.565: Others say he was born from Earth and Sea, and had Koios and Gyges as his brothers. He is said to have assisted Jupiter against the Titans; or as some would have it, to have assisted Saturn.
