Admonitions of Ādurbād 104 (Middle Persian):
And I say to you, my son, who are fortunate, for man wisdom is the best thing. For if - may it not happen! - wealth should vanish, or cattle should die, wisdom will remain.

Ahiqar (Greek Version) 69.11:
Have confidence in the soundness of your mind, not in wealth. For time took the latter away, but the former remains unravished.
