Admonitions of Ādurbād 1 (Middle Persian): This, too, is manifest: Ādurbād had no child born of the body. For this reason he then put his trust in the gods, and it was not long before Ādurbād had a child. Then on account of the righteous nature of Zardušt (= Zoroaster) Spitāmān, he named him Zardušt, and said: Arise, my son, that I may educate you.
