In the Parthian Manichaean text M4a the prophet Mani tells about his Babylonian origin.

Manichaean Parthian Text M4a:
“I have come from the land of Babylon. I have come from the land of Babylon and I am posted at the door of Truth. I am a young pupil, come forth from the land of Babylon. I have come forth from the land of Babylon so that I might shout a call into the world”.
