Ephrem Syrus, Hymns on the Resurrection 3.1, 3.14:
Nisan the victorious month, who was sent by the Victorious One, was resplendently victorious in Egypt, delivering and escorting out the Bride of the King. … Nisan is the victorious month, surrounded by all the days, encircled by all the months, on its left and on its right, half the months one side, and half the other, while opposite, standing at a distance, is the rich month Tišri.
